Fox 2 News interviews Elton Washington, Detroit local, on how attending the Men’s Health Event hosted by the MIU Men’s Health Foundation helped to save his life through early detection and treatment. Elton was also able to leverage the foundation’s Blue Fund for financial assistance while undergoing his treatment.

The Foundation was honored through our President and Founder, Michael Lutz M.D. with the Governor's Service Award in the Health Wellness Impact Category from Michigan Community Service Commission. Dr. Lutz was nominated by MIU Men's Health Foundation Board Member Ken Bloom for his efforts with creating the annual Men's Health Event, now going on its 13th year.

Through the Men's Health Event we have provided over 109,000 health screenings to 9628 men, all free of charge to the participant. We share this honor and our heartfelt thanks with everyone whose hard work, time, and support have made the Men's Health Event possible.
